Following the success of last year, we will once again be purchasing and decorating white t-shirts with favourite book covers or characters in the lead-up to the day. Children can wear comfy home clothes on Thursday 5th March and pop their decorated t-shirts on over the top—there’s no need for additional costumes.
Due to ever rising costs we are asking for a £2 contribution per child this year. This is available in the shop on Arbor or you can bring cash into the school office.
Book Vouchers:
All pupils will receive a £1 book token, which can be used to get £1 off any book or to claim one of the special free World Book Day 2026 books. In King’s Lynn, these books can be found at The Works, WH Smith and Waterstones, with some also available at Tesco, Asda, Sainsbury’s, and Morrisons.
World Book Day Activities:
On the day itself, children will explore one of the free World Book Day books in their classes, taking part in engaging activities linked to their chosen story. There will also be plenty of opportunities for reading, including buddying up with children from different year groups to share books together.
